Will 2015 be my year? I'm hoping so...

Happy (Belated) New Year!

I bet most of you will have made your new years resolutions. I have. And I have already broken nearly all of them. Including 'cut down on swearing'. I always think 'Why do I even bother with resolutions?'. There is one that I never break. I've made it 4 years in a row now and that is to laugh out loud every single day. It doesn't matter what I laugh at. Myself, something on the TV,something funny on the net,Whatever,as long as I LOL every day. And it doesn't take much for me to laugh. I have to laugh really or I think I would probably cry.

New Years day was actually rather good for me - until Lunch time! I stupidly poured a pan of peas into the pan of potatoes that was cooking in lard and I managed to ruin the Christmas pudding too by cooking it nearly 3 minutes longer than I was meant to so I couldn't eat it. Luckily for me,nothing else went wrong. We had quite a bit of snow. I was glad to see the back of it though. It was like an ice rink!

I am rather hoping that 2015 will be the year that shines for me. I'm planning to a) move very close to my Nan - due to personal problems I need to be living very close to her. b) do my damnedest to score myself an agent for acting jobs, c) lose half a stone by March (I have to see my dietitian in March and Christmas was rather bad - I put on nearly half a stone. But then who doesn't put on weight during the festive season?) d) save up enough money so I can buy a new halogen oven (I broke mine) and go to the recording studio to start recording my covers again - I miss doing that. And finally e) become a mummy. Being a mum is the one thing I want more than anything in the world. I know my Mum would have loved to have been a granny. I have rather a few goals haven't I? :)

I'm still working on my fanfiction and my scripts. They are coming along nicely. Once my fanfict is complete I shall put them all onto my fanfiction blog which is on here. I also plan to upload some vids of myself singing on YouTube. That's something I would like to do when I've been to the studio.

I have really got into the film version of Merlin. I LOVE Miranda Richardson as Mab and Helena Bonham-Carter as Morgan Le Fay but I REALLY love Martin Short as Frik and Jason Done as Mordred. Jason plays rather a convincing villain - and he looks totally gorgeous.

Miranda and Jason as Mab and Mordred in 'Merlin' in a scene together. Miranda looks rather evil as Mab :)

I've also started listening to music by a brilliant singer called Heather Dale. I was looking for some Merlin clips on YT and I came across a song accompanying a video called Mordred's lullaby which is by Heather and she blew me away. Her voice is amazing. I searched for Heather on YT and found so many songs. My favourite apart from Mordred's lullaby is The Trial Of Lancelot. It's about 7 minutes long but I love it! I resolve to listen to more Heather Dale. This woman sounds like Amy Lee from Evanescence - and she rocks!

I've bought a diary. I have managed to write in it every day since the 1st but knowing me I will probably forget about it for a couple of weeks. That happens every time. I have something to put in there for next week though - I'm rather looking forward to next Wednesday. I'm going to the retail centre with my nan and our friend. I always like going out shopping with them. Being near my nan takes my mind off certain things. It helps me to forget about things. I suffer with anxiety and I am rather quiet and not too great around people I don't know very well. I'm  learning to try and overcome this to some extent - I need to if I want to become an actress. I am already in the middle of my next two blogs - I will be posting when they are done.

Finally, I hope everyone has had a great start to 2015 - let this be YOUR year. I'll leave you with a few quotes that I go by.

As long as you hold the pen you are the author.
Live,Love,Laugh!
Aim high,shoot low!
Fail to prepare then prepare to fail.
You were born an original - So don't die a copy.
Life is like a book - we have a beginning, middle and end with a few surprises thrown in along the way.
If you fall off the wagon just pick yourself up,dust yourself down and get back on that wagon saying I can and I will do this!
If you have a dream,go for it and don't let anyone say you can't.
Whatever doesn't kill you will only make you stronger.
